At the begining of June 2001, I will be travelling to Iceland. North of the United Kingdom, almost touching the Arctic circle and spanning the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, this country suffers the extremes of long winters and short summers, active volcanoes and icecaps. Diverse and yet hospitable.
