At the begining of 1998, I plan to travel across the world from here in the United Kingdom, to the remote island of Rapa Nui (otherwise known as Easter Island). From this speck of land in the Pacific Ocean, I will be able to witness a partial eclipse of the sun on February 26th 1998. Those in Central America, a full solar eclipse will be visible.
I will then follow the sun east, to the mainland of South America and travel through Peru, searching out the sun-gods from ancient civilisations. Across the arid plains of Nazca and into the mountainous locations of the Inca.
