Day 11 << Day 10 | Week 2 | Day 12 >>

This entry is currently in outline form.

Cycled to Rano Rarako 16km away.
Kept stopping at many interesting Ahu.
One with eight fallen statues and then a later one with at least eighteen.
By the time I reached Rano Rarko, I was exhausted.
Had lunch under a tree looking up at the Moai.
Did a quick look at some of the Moai. Eventually climed high up the mountain to a ledge with a Moai that had not been taken out of the rock.
Chilled out and read my book for a couple of hours.
Cycled home. Much quicker as it was much more downhill than up.
Halfway I stopped and went for a swim. The water was just too inviting.
Went for a late dinner to a place I had been recommended. Had the tuna empanada as advised. It was delicious. I still think these are the Chilean equivalent to a Cornish Pastie.
Met an Aussie who was doing the Endless Summer bit with his surf board. Just flown in from Fiji and was going to be staying on Easter Island for a month.
Got home to upload some information to the website and my computer broke. By 2am I could not keep my eyes open anymore.
