About A Profound Journey
The site, briefly
A Profound Journey is the personal site of Seamus Waldron, online since 1995. It gathers travel writing and destination guides, retro computing and technology, reviews of film, books and events, personal and software projects, and a long-running diary.
What's on the site
- Travel — destinations, stories and guides from years on the road.
- Technology — retro computing, gadgets and the occasional teardown.
- Reviews — film, book and event write-ups.
- Projects — personal and software experiments.
- Diary — entries and commentary.
- All articles — everything, newest first.
Voice and editorial stance
Personal, British, and written first-hand. Travel pieces come from places actually visited; reviews are honest; the technology writing is hands-on. Original publication dates are preserved on older pieces carried over from the site's earlier runs.
